Shocking! Bartender Bites Off Customer’s Testicles Over 20 Pesewas

A bizarre and disturbing incident has unfolded in Assin Wurakese, where a 43-year-old bartender, Esi Affumwaa, is in police custody for allegedly biting off a customer’s testicles over a disagreement involving 20 pesewas. The altercation began when 36-year-old Osman, a farmer, purchased a cigarette for GH₵1.20 but only paid GH₵1, promising to settle the balance later. However, when he returned the next day to buy another cigarette, an argument erupted over the unpaid amount, leading to a heated confrontation between the two.

The dispute quickly turned violent as both parties engaged in a scuffle. Osman alleges that Affumwaa, assisted by her children, physically assaulted him before the situation escalated to the shocking point where she bit his testicles. The injuries sustained by the victim required medical attention, and he was subsequently hospitalized. The Assin Fosu District Police, under the leadership of ASP Jacob Kumedzro, have confirmed the arrest of the bartender and are currently investigating the matter to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

This unfortunate case highlights how minor financial disagreements can spiral into extreme acts of violence. Similar incidents have been reported in the past, including an episode where a public toilet attendant in Assin Pantoase attacked a customer with faeces over a 50 pesewas dispute. Such events emphasize the urgent need for better conflict resolution strategies and public education on handling disputes peacefully to prevent such drastic and regrettable outcomes.
