Police in the Volta Region have discovered the decomposed bodies of three individuals at various shrines, including 28-year-old Nelson Anyinaa, who vanished under mysterious circumstances in December last year.

After months of investigation into his disappearance, authorities arrested three suspects who later admitted to killing Nelson and selling his body for GHS 7,000 to three buyers—two of whom are reportedly a fetish priest and a priestess.

Led by a regional homicide unit from Ho, the suspects guided police to Mafi Gblorkope in the Central Tongu Constituency, where human bones believed to belong to Nelson were found.

Disturbingly, officers also uncovered the remains of two additional victims, all of whom had been dismembered and buried beneath different shrines. The decomposed bodies were exhumed under the watch of police officials.
