NSA Bars 3,597 Over GTEC Issues in 2025 NSS PIN List

The National Service Authority (NSA) has officially released PIN codes for 132,393 eligible final-year students from 100 accredited tertiary institutions across Ghana for the 2025/2026 national service year.

This marks a significant improvement in the accuracy and integrity of submitted data, according to the NSA. The enhanced transparency and stringent verification measures have helped eliminate inflated and fraudulent submissions, resulting in a 26% average reduction in numbers compared to the past three years. Notably, this year’s figures show a 36% drop from the 2022/2023 period.

The total number of final-year students submitted for consideration was 135,990, spanning 122 tertiary institutions. However, the NSA revealed that 3,597 submissions from 22 unaccredited institutions were excluded. These institutions are currently not recognized by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC). The Authority emphasized that graduates from these institutions will not be mobilized unless their accreditation status is regularized and officially verified.

Acting Director-General Mr. Felix Gyamfi urged institutions with expired or pending accreditation to liaise with GTEC within 30 days to ensure their graduates are not left out of the upcoming deployment.

In addition to the mainstream PIN codes, the NSA stated that 908 PINs for private applicants, including Ghanaians who studied abroad, deferred, or defaulted, are pending final verification and will be released soon. Applicants in this category who do not have access to their PINs by June 24, 2025, are advised to contact NSA support.

The registration window officially opens on June 17, 2025, and closes on July 1, 2025. All eligible personnel are encouraged to register promptly and make use of the NSA's support systems to avoid delays.

The details were announced in a press statement dated June 17, 2025, signed by the Acting Director-General of the NSA, Mr. Felix Gyamfi.
