Veteran Ghanaian actor Clement Bonney, popularly known as Mr Beautiful, has been appointed to the newly constituted governing board of the Creative Arts Agency. The appointment, which took place under President John Dramani Mahama’s administration, aims to bring experienced and passionate voices into the leadership of Ghana’s creative sector.

Mr Beautiful was officially sworn in this week alongside other notable figures, marking the beginning of a new phase for the agency.

The board’s inauguration, held in early August 2025, included a 14-member team drawn from various segments of the creative industry. With his years of experience in film and theatre, Mr Beautiful is expected to contribute meaningfully to policy direction and industry development.

His appointment has been widely welcomed, especially by stakeholders who believe that practitioners like him bring practical insight and a strong voice for creatives across the country.
