President John Dramani Mahama has nominated 15 individuals for ambassadorial and consular appointments in his first major diplomatic reshuffle since assuming office in January 2025. The nominations, announced in a letter dated June 10, 2025, followed consultations with the Council of State and signal the administration’s commitment to strengthening Ghana’s foreign relations.

Among the high-profile nominees is celebrated actress Kalsoume Sinare, who is set to become Ghana’s Ambassador to Spain. Her inclusion marks a significant nod to the creative arts industry, recognizing her national stature and potential to drive cultural diplomacy.

Another prominent name on the list is former MP Nii Amasah Namoale, who has been appointed Ambassador to Brazil. With deep grassroots political experience and strong party ties, Namoale is expected to bolster Ghana’s strategic and economic ties with Latin America’s largest nation.
