Portuguese footballer Diogo Jota, aged 28, and his brother André tragically lost their lives in a devastating car accident in Spain's Zamora province on July 3, 2025. Reports from Spanish authorities indicate that their vehicle veered off the A‑52 highway and caught fire, resulting in both brothers being fatally trapped inside. The tragedy comes just days after Jota’s wedding to his longtime partner, Rute Cardoso.
