“I regret doing a feature with Keche” - King Paluta laments

Ghanaian musician King Paluta has openly expressed his disappointment over his collaboration with music duo Keche, stating that he regrets working with them. In an interview on The Delay Show, he revealed that he felt unappreciated despite contributing to their song My Father for free. Paluta claimed that Keche failed to acknowledge his efforts, leading him to decide against any future collaborations with them. His frustration stemmed from the belief that he had gone out of his way to support them, only to be met with disrespect.

The disagreement between the two parties arose when Keche accused King Paluta of failing to promote their joint project. Keche Joshua, a member of the duo, expressed disappointment that they had to handle all the promotional work while Paluta would still benefit financially. According to Keche, the agreement between them entitled Paluta to a share of the song’s earnings, making his lack of involvement in promotions unfair. However, King Paluta countered this claim, explaining that health issues had prevented him from actively participating in the marketing of the song. He stated that he had informed Keche about his condition and requested a delay in promotions, but they proceeded with the release and later accused him of neglecting the project.
Responding to Paluta’s statements, Keche Joshua dismissed his claims, insisting that they had not mistreated him in any way. He expressed surprise at Paluta’s decision to sever ties, emphasizing that they had done nothing wrong. This public fallout highlights a common challenge in the music industry, where disagreements over promotional responsibilities and appreciation can lead to strained relationships between artists. The situation serves as a lesson on the importance of clear communication and mutual understanding in collaborative projects.
