"I Have Never Bathed Twice A Day Since I was Born" - Diana Asamoah

Growing up in Ghana, I’ve always appreciated the simplicity of our routines, the cultural norms, and the little things that make us who we are. However, one personal habit has stuck with me through the years – I’ve never bathe twice a day. Yes, you heard that right. Since birth, I’ve stuck to the once-a-day bath rule, and it’s served me just fine.
But every now and then, I wonder – what if I adopted the habit of bathing twice daily? What would happen? Would my skin glow so radiantly that Ghanaians would be left speechless? The thought amuses me, but there’s a deeper point to consider here: self-care, habits, and the little indulgences we often overlook.
The truth is, when I’m home, I prefer to bathe early in the day. It’s refreshing, sets the tone for the day ahead, and lets me focus on what truly matters. But there’s a catch – if I miss that window of opportunity, procrastination sets in, and I find myself putting it off entirely. Before I know it, the day is over, and I’m telling myself, “Well, there’s always tomorrow.”
This might sound familiar to some of you. Life gets busy, and it’s easy to let small habits slide. But maybe there’s something to be said for prioritizing simple routines like this – the kind that make you feel good, energized, and, dare I say, radiant.
So here’s my reflection: bathing twice a day might not just be about hygiene; it could be a form of self-care, a small ritual to reset and recharge. Maybe, just maybe, it’s time for me to try it out and see what happens. If my skin glows brighter than the midday sun, don’t be surprised – it’s just the magic of two baths a day!
